Mary Beth Friel earned All-MAC honors in three of her four seasons at Bowling Green, winning the MAC title on the vault as a junior in 1991. Friel also earned all-league honors on the balance beam as a senior and beam as a freshman.

Photo Courtesy BGSU Athletic Department Friel was the first BG gymnast to earn all-conference honors in three different seasons (Marny Oestreng is the only other Falcon gymnast to do so), and was one of only five gymnasts to earn all-league honors at least three times.

At the time of her graduation, Friel held school records in the all-around, balance beam, and floor exercise.
